ASAP Direct Deposit means that you could get paid earlier than you can through other banks 😎

But, HOW?! Mind-blowing, right? Here’s how it works:

  1. Many times, your payroll (or benefits) “notice” is submitted by your payroll provider to our partner bank, Green Dot Bank, prior to your actual payday.
  2. If our banking partner receives that notice in advance of your actual pay day, which tells them how much money they should fund your account with and the date of your payday.
  3. Unlike other banks (who withhold the money until the specified date), our partner will credit your pay or benefits to your account when they receive that advance notice, which could be up to 2 days earlier for payroll and up to 4 days earlier for government benefits.

🔥Note🔥 Your employer or payroll provider may not be consistent in the timing of sending their notices, so if you get it early once, it’s not guaranteed you’ll always get it early.
